So, quick sidebar. I live on the water, and let me tell you, it is awesome. I have two dachshunds, both of whom are hydrophobic (awesome), and a labrador retriever who for some bizarre reason does not like to swim (double awesome). This means I get to enjoy the fruits of having a partially-fenced backyard without worrying oh my God are my dogs going to get into the lake and swim away and I’ll never see them again. I also have a great blue heron that comes and says hello, and I once saw an actual painted bunting, but I’m not sure if that’s because I’m living on the water and I’m admittedly just bragging at this point.
But yeah. Waterfront living is awesome, so if you’re interested, we have a listing for YOU! This gorgeous home has a beautiful, open floor plan with tons of windows all over it, three bedrooms, and a fully fenced backyard — no worrying about escape artist puppies. The great room has a super pretty gas fireplace as a natural focal point, a formal dining room with elegant chair rail, and an attached kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances for that gourmet experience.
Bedrooms upstairs include two bedrooms, a finished bonus that could function as a fourth if you wanted it to, and the owner suite that is just amazing. Tray ceiling, large footprint, and one of those ensuites that belong in Spa Weekly (which, if it doesn’t exist yet, really needs to). Separate garden tub, separate shower, walk-in closet, the whole nine.
But really, the news here — this home has deeded lake access, so if you’ve been looking for that waterfront experience, we’ve got it right here. Best of all, it’s right in Northeast Columbia, so you don’t have to go fighting with the Lake Murray traffic or haul all the way to Lake Wateree to get it. Nope — we’re right here, close to I-77 and I-20 for easy access to everything; downtown Columbia, Ft. Jackson, you name it.
Check out more pictures of this beauty here, and schedule your appointment to get inside while you’re there. It’s also a great resource for other homes, if you decide this isn’t the one for you despite the fact that you could be cool like me and have a great blue heron for a neighbor. Anyway, as always, keep your eyes peeled — this market’s crazy hot, and if you blink, you’ll miss it!
